0:18 SPEAKER_01: I'm here with Dakota Christensen and um special guest, Chase Coleman.

0:23 SPEAKER_01: How's it going?

0:24 SPEAKER_01: We're so happy to have you here, bro.

0:26 SPEAKER_01: And dude, we are just man, we're just excited for your story.

0:30 SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

0:30 SPEAKER_01: And we're excited to hear how the Lord has worked in your life.

0:34 SPEAKER_01: Um, but bro, it's it's been it's been a minute since we seen each other in person.

0:40 SPEAKER_02: It's been a while, probably five, six years now, right?

0:43 SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's been a long time.

0:45 SPEAKER_02: And so go do the math.

0:47 SPEAKER_02: We've known each other since third grade.

0:49 SPEAKER_02: So we go way back, like two flats in a Cadillac, okay?

0:53 SPEAKER_02: So, but it's been like five years probably.

0:56 SPEAKER_02: And you look familiar, bro.

0:58 SPEAKER_02: Like I remember all the time, man.

1:01 SPEAKER_02: Dude, you really do.

1:02 SPEAKER_02: I guess I got I used to work in landscaping with looks just like you, Name Hey Michelle.

1:06 SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I'm glad.

1:07 SPEAKER_02: Happy to be here, guys.

1:09 SPEAKER_02: Uh, you know, Jesus has done a lot of work in my life and uh a lot of work in y'all's and yeah, I think it's gonna be a great conversation.

1:16 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, for sure.

1:18 SPEAKER_01: We're excited.

1:18 SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

1:19 SPEAKER_01: Yeah, man.

1:20 SPEAKER_01: I mean, I remember uh hearing about your your your court date when whenever that was sort of a th a thing.

1:29 SPEAKER_01: And um I was for some reason just so invested on like hey, what's gonna happen?

1:34 SPEAKER_01: Because I remember growing up with you, and I was this is at the point like I've at I've already found Jesus at this point in my life, and I'm like, bro, if he can find the Lord and if he can get free from what's going on right here, dude, he's going to shatter thousands of hearts.

1:51 SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

1:52 SPEAKER_01: And dude, when when oh he will, bro.

1:55 SPEAKER_01: I I know he will because dude, your your testimony is so powerful, man.

1:59 SPEAKER_01: And people can really see just the redemptive power of the gospel through your story.

2:05 SPEAKER_01: It's such a this is just such a Jesus story.

2:08 SPEAKER_01: But I was just, bro, I had so much joy when I had found out that what had happened happened and that you found the Lord through that.

2:16 SPEAKER_01: And bro, it was just man, it was just such a such a special moment, and we weren't even a part of each other's lives at that point.

2:24 SPEAKER_01: I know, I know.

2:25 SPEAKER_01: And I had reached out to you and and we had kind of been uh keeping in touch off and on since then.

2:31 SPEAKER_01: But yeah, dude, I'm just happy to have you here, and I just want to give you the space and just tell us tell us your story, man, and where you come from and and how you came to to to know Jesus.

2:43 SPEAKER_01: Okay.

2:44 SPEAKER_01: Spill the beans on it, bro.

2:46 SPEAKER_02: Well, you're saying when you uh, you know, the round of court data, there's actually a picture of me with my fiance Allie.

2:54 SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm holding her like in my arm, you know, and somebody took a picture of us at at court and I have a Bible in hand and whatnot, and we're smiling.

3:02 SPEAKER_02: And somebody asked me after it all happened and stuff, they're like, dude, was this like after you found out you weren't going to prison?

3:09 SPEAKER_02: And I was like, no, this was before my sentencing.

3:12 SPEAKER_02: This is when we all thought I was going to be in prison for five plus years in a war zone.

3:18 SPEAKER_02: Like, this is when we knew, like, we knew that's what was happening, but we had God with us, you know.

3:25 SPEAKER_02: I had my Bible in my hand.

3:26 SPEAKER_02: I had I had the Holy Spirit that day more than ever, really.

3:30 SPEAKER_02: I mean, I was just I had joy and peace knowing that whatever happened is gonna be God's plan.

3:36 SPEAKER_02: And so in that picture, I'll have to see maybe I'll get her to send it to us later and show y'all.

3:41 SPEAKER_02: But it's just you can just see the joy in us, and everybody's like, y'all are crazy.

3:46 SPEAKER_02: You guys' whole lives are about to be ruined, and you have joy.

3:48 SPEAKER_02: Well, that's the power of loving the God we love.

3:51 SPEAKER_02: Is you don't have to worry about tomorrow.

3:53 SPEAKER_02: You know, what's the verse in Matthew?

3:55 SPEAKER_02: Said, I've the fish in the sea and the birds of the air, you know, they're taken care of every day.

4:00 SPEAKER_02: Are we not more important than them?

4:02 SPEAKER_02: Matthew said that's the truth, bro.

4:04 SPEAKER_02: We are more important, and he loves us and he will take care of us no matter what comes ahead.

4:10 SPEAKER_02: So I just want to say that because it took me years of battling, waking up every day not knowing what's gonna happen in my life, the unstableness and whatnot, and the traumas, and dude, he takes all that away.

4:24 SPEAKER_02: So it's awesome.

4:26 SPEAKER_02: But um, where I come from, huh?

4:29 SPEAKER_02: I was born and raised here, Cherokee County.

4:33 SPEAKER_02: My mom was a horse trainer, okay?

4:36 SPEAKER_02: So I grew up in horse horse shows, uh, grew up on farms.

4:40 SPEAKER_02: Uh, met you in third grade, so before that, we we changed schools like crazy.

4:45 SPEAKER_02: My mom was really she was more on the you know low income side.

4:49 SPEAKER_02: Starting off, she started a business, so we didn't have much money growing up.

4:53 SPEAKER_02: And I was a only child, no brothers, no sisters, father's in prison, and uh she was a single mom as a little kid for most of my life, and then she married a guy named Dusty, Dustin Ray, and he was my stepdad, he was my stepdad all the way up till I was about you know 12, 13.

5:12 SPEAKER_02: We knew each other.

5:13 SPEAKER_02: He was like my dad in elementary school and stuff, you know.

5:16 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and uh he's who I looked as a father, and at like seven years old, I looked at my mom and I was like, hey, you have this last name, he has this last name, and I have this last name.

5:27 SPEAKER_02: And they're all different.

5:29 SPEAKER_02: What's going on?

5:30 SPEAKER_02: You know, why is everybody at school, their mom and dad, they all got the same last names.

5:34 SPEAKER_02: Why why don't I?

5:36 SPEAKER_02: So I kind of figured out he wasn't my real dad at that age, and uh, so but it was okay because he was still my father and stuff and whatnot.

5:44 SPEAKER_02: So but at about 11 he married another girl, and her husband just died and they had kids and stuff, so he kind of like took in that family and just left me.

5:56 SPEAKER_02: And this guy was like a whole-hearted Christian, like, you know, looking back, I know he didn't he was blinded, but you know, he really walked the walk, he took me to church, he told me I was gonna go to hell if you know, blah blah blah, this.

6:08 SPEAKER_02: So it left a pretty bitterness towards Christianity for me because this was like my everything.

6:14 SPEAKER_02: I looked up to him and he just left me.

6:17 SPEAKER_02: At 11, I already, you know, didn't have my real father, and my mom was always busy working, so I remember being mad, dude, and being completely honest.

6:25 SPEAKER_02: Like at 11 years old, I ripped a Bible up and threw it.

6:30 SPEAKER_02: And that's where my heart was with Jesus.

6:34 SPEAKER_02: Like, that's where I was with Christianity.

6:36 SPEAKER_02: People tell me, like, oh, you don't know how it feels.

6:39 SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, I do.

6:40 SPEAKER_02: I was a sinner for a very long time.

6:43 SPEAKER_02: I still am.

6:44 SPEAKER_02: I'm a messy Christian, but every day I wake up and I pick my cross up, right?

6:47 SPEAKER_02: So I try my hardest to reflect his image the best I can.

6:51 SPEAKER_02: And a lot of that comes from being, you know, having a servant's heart.

6:56 SPEAKER_02: I pray for that a lot.

6:57 SPEAKER_02: Just help me serve others, help me help others, you know.

7:00 SPEAKER_02: I pray to God that this helps somebody.

7:03 SPEAKER_02: Um, let them know that they're not alone in their walk.

7:06 SPEAKER_02: But so, yeah, that left bitters towards Christianity.

7:09 SPEAKER_02: So that's kind of young Chase, you know.

7:10 SPEAKER_02: I got in trouble a lot in elementary school.

7:13 SPEAKER_02: That had a lot to do with it, you know.

7:15 SPEAKER_02: Uh didn't have a family, didn't really have friends.

7:17 SPEAKER_02: I was always moving around.

7:18 SPEAKER_02: So when I got to Avery, everybody was like, you know, we've been together since kindergarten, bro.

7:24 SPEAKER_02: We've been playing football for years together, and I was just kind of the lone wolf.

7:29 SPEAKER_02: I was bigger.

7:29 SPEAKER_02: Kids would pick kids would pick on me a lot, and you know, I didn't have vineyard vines or like all the nice clothes because we didn't have a lot of money, so I had crappy clothes.

7:38 SPEAKER_02: They'd pick on me for that, and I would retaliate, like if we ever got into a fight or something, I'd fight back.

7:44 SPEAKER_02: And because I would win, because I was bigger, I was pointing at the bully, you know, like I was the bad kid, but really I just didn't fit in at all.

7:54 SPEAKER_02: So I start playing sports and whatnot through middle school, and you know, football was kind of my passion for a long time, and then you know, I I I was a wild kid, dude.

8:07 SPEAKER_02: I mean, whether it was horse shows or school, like I was always getting in trouble drinking, always looking for the next fun moment.

8:16 SPEAKER_02: I was all about fun and escaping reality, you know what I mean?

8:20 SPEAKER_02: Like uh so let's see.

8:23 SPEAKER_02: Let's go we'll go to high school.

8:26 SPEAKER_02: High school, um, football was life.

8:30 SPEAKER_02: I didn't really want to go home too much.

8:32 SPEAKER_02: Shoot this thing.

8:34 SPEAKER_02: I didn't really want to go home too much because uh so my mom married a new guy after that.

8:41 SPEAKER_02: His name eh don't matter, but he was a cop and stuff, and he was they both drank a lot, you know.

8:47 SPEAKER_02: My mom was a bottle of wine plus every day and don't want to admit she drinks a lot of wine, but she drinks a lot of wine, so going home was kind of iffy.

8:58 SPEAKER_02: I'd do the littlest thing, I'd get screamed at um bad.

9:02 SPEAKER_02: So I always kind of resulted to sports.

9:04 SPEAKER_02: I think uh junior year it was football wrestling track.

9:08 SPEAKER_02: That way every day after school I had a practice to go to, and I'd go do that and hang out and whatever, and that was my escape at the moment.

9:16 SPEAKER_02: And then you know, Will happened sophomore year.

9:21 SPEAKER_02: So one of my really good friends, Will Wicklum, we played defensive end together.

9:26 SPEAKER_02: So for six years from middle school all the way up through high school, we were side by side on the football field.

9:32 SPEAKER_02: He was right here, I was right here, and our job was to get the quarterback together, you know.

9:35 SPEAKER_02: I was my boy, and we grew up for together.

9:39 SPEAKER_02: Uh, me and him, AJ and James, we were all kind of pretty close.

9:42 SPEAKER_02: And yeah, you know, one day we get went to school and he wasn't there, man.

9:47 SPEAKER_02: He wasn't in the weight room.

9:48 SPEAKER_02: And later on we got called to the auditorium, and they told us he took his life.

9:53 SPEAKER_02: And uh it that messed me up pretty bad because Will was the type of kid to always be smiling, always be happy, you know.

10:02 SPEAKER_02: He always seemed like he had it going on.

10:04 SPEAKER_02: I was the the troubled kid where everybody knew oh, Chase is you know his trouble, you know, watch out for Chase.

10:11 SPEAKER_02: Everybody kind of knew that about me, but but Will, not him, you know.

10:15 SPEAKER_02: He didn't tell, not at all.

10:16 SPEAKER_02: I mean, you remember, yeah, he didn't come to me with no problems, bro.

10:22 SPEAKER_02: He was feeling this way or nothing.

10:24 SPEAKER_02: He didn't go to nobody, and that's what killed me the most because I I felt like I failed him as a friend uh because he couldn't come to me and and talk to me.

10:33 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and that really tore me up, dude, because I'm like, I just wanted to be there for him, so I lost him.

10:40 SPEAKER_02: We all lost him.

10:42 SPEAKER_02: That was rough, man.

10:43 SPEAKER_02: Um that was really rough, yeah.

10:46 SPEAKER_02: And then so after that, you know, I didn't I was with Allie at this point.

10:51 SPEAKER_02: We had just gotten together the same year, 2019.

10:55 SPEAKER_02: And um she's always been there for me.

10:58 SPEAKER_02: She was the first one to come to the parking lot kind of that night and hang out, but uh lost him.

11:04 SPEAKER_02: That's kind of when uh smoking weed and all that, that was heavy.

11:10 SPEAKER_02: I mean, every day we would smoke just to kind of not feel that, you know.

11:16 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, to not think about it.

11:17 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, man, and it was just that was kind of a medicine that was not a good medicine for us, right?

11:24 SPEAKER_02: But we looked at it like that way.

11:26 SPEAKER_02: Escaped reality for a while and going home, I didn't I couldn't really talk with my mom or get close with her because like anytime I'd say the like I remember one day I'm getting off track, but one day I had dinner with my fiance.

11:41 SPEAKER_02: I brought we it was in high school, she came over, we're eating dinner and stuff, and my mom tells me to do something, and I say yes, ma'am.

11:48 SPEAKER_02: But she thinks I say yes, ma'am, in like a sarcastic way or something.

11:52 SPEAKER_02: She's drinking and stuff, and she just lays into me, just yelling, screaming, and I'm like, mom, like I just said yes, ma'am.

11:59 SPEAKER_02: Like I'm trying to be respectful.

12:01 SPEAKER_02: And she was screaming so loud, Allie starts crying because she sees how she's treating me.

12:07 SPEAKER_02: So Allie's crying, dude.

12:09 SPEAKER_02: And like that's kind of like my whole life.

12:11 SPEAKER_02: That was it.

12:12 SPEAKER_02: And I didn't have much to go home to.

12:15 SPEAKER_02: So, and then a little bit after Will died, you know, my dog died that I've had since I was five years old, and I grew up on a farm, didn't really have friends, you know, kind of was that guy as a young kid, so you can imagine how close that dog was to me, you know.

12:30 SPEAKER_02: I didn't have any neighborhood friends or anything like that.

12:33 SPEAKER_02: It was me and Lucy, and then I'd come home hang out with my dog.

12:36 SPEAKER_02: So she died out of nowhere, got cancer, died within a week of knowing she had cancer.

12:42 SPEAKER_03: Wow.

12:42 SPEAKER_02: And that was just like, you know, I got pulled out of school by Tim, my stepdad, and went and buried her in a backyard, and like that altogether, losing so much to me, kind of just threw me off in the head mentally.

12:58 SPEAKER_02: And then coming home to a toxic household was like tip of the iceberg, bro.

13:03 SPEAKER_02: Like I just couldn't handle it anymore.

13:06 SPEAKER_02: Um, I was starting to get negative thoughts and whatnot that I didn't like having.

13:10 SPEAKER_02: So at that point, we're in junior year now.

13:15 SPEAKER_02: Okay.

13:16 SPEAKER_02: We played football, football season's over with, and I'm just getting, you know, bad mental space.

13:23 SPEAKER_02: I'm coming home and it's just terrible there.

13:26 SPEAKER_02: I don't feel like I have a deep connection with my mother.

13:29 SPEAKER_02: Um, don't feel loved by, you know, Tim.

13:33 SPEAKER_02: It's just I'm always in trouble.

13:34 SPEAKER_02: I was always in trouble.

13:36 SPEAKER_02: It'd be the littlest thing.

13:37 SPEAKER_02: Like if we were in COVID and we had to do online testing and I screenshotted, you know, I don't know, Gracie Earl's paper or something and turned it in on the computer, I'd get caught or whatever, and they would, instead of just correcting me and leading me the right way, I was like, they would scream and you know, they'd say a lot of stuff, wish you never had, you know, just bad stuff.

13:59 SPEAKER_02: Yeah.

14:00 SPEAKER_02: So bad headspace for Chase completely.

14:03 SPEAKER_02: And one day, dude, I remember they were just screaming and screaming and screaming, and Tim got in my face and stuff, and I just wanted to come home to a peaceful house.

14:13 SPEAKER_02: I wanted to come home to a family, you know, something that I could decompress at.

14:18 SPEAKER_02: And I couldn't.

14:20 SPEAKER_02: I just had all these things that were eating me up inside, and I couldn't talk to nobody.

14:25 SPEAKER_02: I couldn't escape nothing.

14:26 SPEAKER_02: All I could do was, you know, turn to weed or something or drink or go to a party, but that's not even that was like I'm not happy doing that.

14:34 SPEAKER_02: Like I just want to freaking talk to somebody.

14:37 SPEAKER_02: I want to be hugged, you know, tell you know, tell somebody they love me.

14:41 SPEAKER_02: And Allie was the only person I had that was truly by my side in that moment.

14:46 SPEAKER_02: And I looked at, I remember looking at my mom or looking at Tim, he was screaming at me, and I was like, dude, you're gonna push me to move out.

14:52 SPEAKER_02: Like, you're gonna push me to walk out of this house.

14:54 SPEAKER_02: And he goes, You're 18, go ahead.

14:56 SPEAKER_02: I had just turned 18, like just turned 18, junior year.

15:00 SPEAKER_02: And he's like, You're 18, go ahead.

15:02 SPEAKER_02: And I remember my mom, she kind of looked at him like, No, Tim, don't say that, because you will.

15:06 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I I did.

15:07 SPEAKER_02: I went and I packed a duffel bag of clothes and walked out of the house.

15:12 SPEAKER_02: And I looked at my mom and I was like, please, like, do do something, like fix this.

15:18 SPEAKER_02: Don't just and she don't let me walk out the door.

15:20 SPEAKER_02: She didn't say nothing.

15:21 SPEAKER_02: Tim was like, leave, whatever.

15:24 SPEAKER_02: So I uh, you know, I got a bag of duffel clothes, and I I text my fiance to come pick me up, and her and her grandma, she comes and they pick me up, and that's all she wrote with uh family on chases and um for three months.

15:38 SPEAKER_02: I was completely homeless, and I was also trying to juggle football and wrestling and school and passing because I did not want to drop out, like I didn't want to lose really.

15:51 SPEAKER_02: If we're being completely honest, I didn't care about school, I didn't want to not play my senior year of football.

15:56 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's all I had, dude.

15:58 SPEAKER_02: And I loved football.

16:00 SPEAKER_02: So I'm trying to battle school and and pass all my classes and whatnot.

16:04 SPEAKER_02: And I'm I'm couch surfing between friends' houses.

16:07 SPEAKER_02: I'm kind of running out of places to go because you know, my friend's parents are like, hey, he can stay for a week or whatever if he needs help, but eventually everybody's parents are like, hey, what is what is this guy doing?

16:20 SPEAKER_02: You know, he can't just live here.

16:22 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I kind of I always have like always growing up because of my household, I always have this like, you know, I don't want to ask for help, feel like a burden type of feeling.

16:31 SPEAKER_02: Like I don't want to, you know, be a burden to anybody.

16:33 SPEAKER_02: So the second I got whiff of hey, he got he needs, I was out, I was leaving.

16:38 SPEAKER_02: And my biggest regret during that moment, I know Chip Martin, you know Chip Martin, yeah, dude.

16:43 SPEAKER_02: Football coach, I couldn't.

16:45 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

16:45 SPEAKER_02: Heck yeah.

16:46 SPEAKER_02: I just had lunch with him not too long ago, actually.

16:49 SPEAKER_02: Let's go.

16:49 SPEAKER_02: And uh my biggest regret is he looked me in my eyes, he seen everything that was going on and whatnot, and he said, Chase, you know, you can come live with me.

16:58 SPEAKER_02: He said, You can come live with me, finish out football, be alright in school, and I'll take care of you and whatever, and we'll be all right, we'll get through this.

17:07 SPEAKER_02: But he had, you know, little boy, little girl, a wife, and my first thing was, man, my own house, you know, my own mom, she couldn't love me enough and you know, be there for me.

17:20 SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna take this troubled kid and go and just be toxic and pollute this household.

17:26 SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna cause problems with his wife or you know, make his little kids that are little feel like they're not as important because this new guy's coming in, right?

17:37 SPEAKER_02: So I didn't want to, you know, be a burden, dude.

17:40 SPEAKER_02: So I said no, and I didn't do it.

17:42 SPEAKER_02: I didn't accept help for nobody, dude.

17:45 SPEAKER_02: I was stubborn and eventually I had nowhere to go.

17:48 SPEAKER_02: And I started not going to school and started going to work.

17:54 SPEAKER_02: I I remember my first job.

17:56 SPEAKER_02: Well, I worked throughout high school a little bit with Max Blanton and his dad in landscaping, and then like I went to work, dude.

18:03 SPEAKER_02: I I got a job at a landscape company.

18:05 SPEAKER_02: I had nowhere to go.

18:06 SPEAKER_02: I I moved in with somebody who I could pay rent for for a little room, and I started working, dropped out of school.

18:13 SPEAKER_02: I was like, this is it, like I gotta work or I'm not gonna have nothing, I'll be homeless.

18:18 SPEAKER_02: So I start working and I'm renting this room out with a buddy for$800 a month.

18:23 SPEAKER_02: Or$200,$200,$200 a month, I'm sorry.

18:26 SPEAKER_02: And yeah, that was all she wrote.

18:29 SPEAKER_02: I had a twin mattress and nothing.

18:32 SPEAKER_02: Twin mattress, duffel bag of clothes, 18 years old, feel broken, don't have any family, don't got nobody to talk to.

18:39 SPEAKER_02: Allie, this poor girl, dude, she she she sees me and all of this, like what I'm at, where I'm at in life, right?

18:48 SPEAKER_02: And broken, and I ain't got nothing.

18:50 SPEAKER_02: And you know what she decides to do?

18:51 SPEAKER_02: She decides to leave her big, loving family, their comfy room and house and all this, and you know, everything's good with her.

18:58 SPEAKER_02: She can go to college, she can do all these things like every other normal kid that we grew up with.

19:03 SPEAKER_02: And she decides to pack a bag herself and come sleep on that twin mattress with me in a cold room with you know, in a stranger's house, like with nothing.

19:13 SPEAKER_02: And that's the type of woman I had.

19:15 SPEAKER_02: And I honestly think, dude, God put us together for a reason because without her, uh Chase would have been lost.

19:22 SPEAKER_02: Chase probably would have died.

19:24 SPEAKER_02: Like without her, she she she was really my reason for a long time, and a huge reason I got close to Jesus.

19:33 SPEAKER_02: So, you know, I love that woman, and she stayed with me, and um dude, I just worked and drank every night to go to sleep, just to go to sleep, just because I was lonely, you know.

19:49 SPEAKER_02: And uh worked my way up to a foreman in that landscaping company, got me an apartment at the Canton Mill Offs, got me a bike, you know, all these things.

19:59 SPEAKER_02: I'm starting to kind of feel myself again, kind of find, you know, my new chapter in life, and I'm partying and I'm doing whatever's fun and hanging out.

20:10 SPEAKER_02: And I got my motorcycle dude as an R6, it went really fast.

20:14 SPEAKER_02: I think I went 169 miles per hour on it, was what I topped it out at.

20:19 SPEAKER_02: I used to run from the cops on it, and yeah, dude, you're smiling back there, you know.

20:24 SPEAKER_02: And bites, boy, and it'll get you.

20:27 SPEAKER_02: But uh, so I'm kind of that was my therapy for a while, man.

20:31 SPEAKER_02: Um being close to death was my therapy.

20:35 SPEAKER_02: Like doing things that made me think I was gonna die was when I felt most alive.

20:40 SPEAKER_02: And that's kind of probably like the scare, if you ask Allie, kind of the scariest time period for me because I didn't care, I didn't value life, you know.

20:50 SPEAKER_02: Uh I didn't know a God.

20:51 SPEAKER_02: I knew I always kind of knew God was real, you know, that somebody made all this, but I didn't have a relationship with them, nor did I try.

21:00 SPEAKER_02: You know, I was very hurt, and uh I had joy from just being really on the on the line of like, hey, you shouldn't be here.

21:09 SPEAKER_02: And I lived that life for a long time, dude.

21:12 SPEAKER_02: And um, so I got arrested the first time when I was 18 or 19 off that bike.

21:21 SPEAKER_02: Okay, they swarmed me and can't mill off.

21:24 SPEAKER_02: They came in, like I pull in, they come in one exit, and then they come in another, and they balk me in and they arrest me.

21:32 SPEAKER_02: And I uh I went to jail for three days, got bonded out by a guy I worked with, went back to work.

21:40 SPEAKER_02: Okay, so that was the first time I ever got in trouble with the law or whatever.

21:45 SPEAKER_02: And it was just bike stuff, reckless driving, but they knew that I always ran from 'em because I never had a plate.

21:51 SPEAKER_02: So they knew me as the blue bike kid.

21:54 SPEAKER_02: Yeah.

21:54 SPEAKER_02: They didn't but they never like got me.

21:56 SPEAKER_02: So they found out where I lived and stuff arrested me through reckless driving on me and you know, I I had to go to court for that.

22:02 SPEAKER_02: And that was the first time I went to jail, kind of, you know, kind of opened the door of just this this is my life now, you know, being reckless.

22:12 SPEAKER_02: And this is kind of just the things I lived for, dude.

22:15 SPEAKER_02: And that was what I woke up.

22:17 SPEAKER_02: I was excited to go ride bikes or street race or or you know do these things that filled me up with adrenaline because it would make me forget all of the things I was hurting from.

22:30 SPEAKER_02: Yeah.

22:31 SPEAKER_02: I never got to really open up to nobody.

22:34 SPEAKER_02: It's easy to get that way on a bike.

22:36 SPEAKER_02: And on a bike was my therapy.

22:38 SPEAKER_02: It wasn't people, it wasn't Jesus.

22:40 SPEAKER_02: It wasn't Allie, you know I didn't care about anything.

22:44 SPEAKER_02: And that's a very scary place to be in as a young man.

22:47 SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

22:48 SPEAKER_02: To not care about anything.

22:49 SPEAKER_01: That's right.

22:50 SPEAKER_02: To not care about the people you're around to not care about your own life to not value people, you know, like complete strangers like you guys.

22:59 SPEAKER_02: Chase now I love you guys wholeheartedly.

23:01 SPEAKER_02: I already love you.

23:02 SPEAKER_02: I don't even know you and I love you.

23:04 SPEAKER_02: You know?

23:05 SPEAKER_02: And that's what Jesus has to offer.

23:07 SPEAKER_02: Uh old Chase he wouldn't have loved you didn't it wouldn't he liked you wouldn't even talk to you.

23:11 SPEAKER_02: And if he did talk to you probably be mad about something you know I was just a very angry very angry person.

23:17 SPEAKER_02: Had a hard life man and this is so where are we at?

23:23 SPEAKER_02: Got arrested the first time okay been working and we ended up leaving that apartment and we ended up going and staying with uh Max Blanton.

23:33 SPEAKER_02: Yeah.

23:33 SPEAKER_02: And I'm roommates with him me, Allie, we move in there.

23:38 SPEAKER_02: And I'm hanging out with this guy named Carter.

23:41 SPEAKER_02: And Carter was like a brother to me.

23:43 SPEAKER_02: He also didn't have a family he also worked every day.

23:46 SPEAKER_02: You know he was on kind of the same you know mindset as I was.

23:51 SPEAKER_02: So we kind of got along there.

23:52 SPEAKER_02: We kind of fed off of each other.

23:54 SPEAKER_02: We worked together a little bit doing tile work in Atlanta and uh I rode my bike and we we kind of we went to parties we just had fun dude we anytime we could we would just go out there and we'd have fun fun right and we would just escape kind of reality together and you know and I still am this way if I if I love you or if we're best friends or if we're real close dude and even if we're not and I can just tell you're a decent person like I'll put my life on the line for you.

24:23 SPEAKER_02: And uh says in the Bible no greater love than putting your life on the line for your brother.

24:27 SPEAKER_02: That's right.

24:28 SPEAKER_02: But I didn't do it in that type of love that Jesus gives you I I did it just that's who I am that's who I was I would put my life you know because I didn't care right key words there.

24:38 SPEAKER_02: Didn't care.

24:39 SPEAKER_02: And uh so Carter he calls me one night and this is like the big this is the big uh you know been working full-time job whatever just doing things I'm not supposed to hanging around people I shouldn't be with and that and he was one of them and Allie warned me dude that's one thing she always done like she can tell she can read people like hey I don't know this guy ain't good news yeah and I just wish I listened bro I really do and that now I do listen to her she says that I'm like okay you're right but uh women got good intuition man yeah they do man yeah so he calls me up one night dude and he is like hey you want to drink it's a Saturday night I'm like sure come over you know we'll drink hang out he comes over and we start drinking we have a bottle of crown and we drink half a bottle each so we drink the whole bottle and uh that's when he just started going crazy and I'm like dude what's wrong with you he take his shirt off he's flipping tables he's freaking out and I didn't know it at the time but he's on this heavy dose of steroids like he was a big guy he's on trin he's on uh all these super super bad for you steroids that'll mess up the chemistry of your brain dude like if you take enough trin it's meant to grow cows 30% more muscle and fat cows you put that in your human body it's gonna do things to you and you put a lot of it and it will change you and that's what he done and you're not supposed to drink on stuff like that and whatnot it makes it worse uh and he's drinking and he also is addicted to cocaine um he I didn't know we would do cocaine once in a blue moon kind of just like anybody else in the party area right oh this guy has some at a party or whatever we do it here and there you know but I never got like addicted to it to where I have to spend all my money on this and it happens bro like drug addiction is a real thing and he he got addicted and I wasn't aware of it so he came over to drink and stuff but his real motive was hey I need to get some some cocaine and he was freaking out and stuff I'm like dude what's wrong with you and he goes bro I need I need drugs or money or I'm gonna kill myself and he and he said that to me and when he said that to me something kind of flipped in my head because I just started thinking about Will now and I'm like Will was my best friend and he didn't say nothing to me.

27:03 SPEAKER_02: This guy is my best friend at the time and at least he opened up and came to me.

27:08 SPEAKER_02: Yeah I'm not gonna let this happen again right and uh I looked at him I said dude I'm not gonna give you drugs because look what it's doing to you.

27:19 SPEAKER_02: Yeah like look at look where you're at right now look at this state of mind you're in not doing that.

27:23 SPEAKER_02: So what do I do?

27:24 SPEAKER_02: I take my gun and I go to the first gas station the closest gas station to me and I and I walk in there and I cock my gun and I point it right at the guy's face and I said hey man I need money and I I was like look I do not want to hurt you but my friend is sick really sick and I need to help him and the fear on that guy's face dude is it's honestly something that I've never forgotten.

27:50 SPEAKER_02: I never will and the Lord wants it that way because even though like how much people want to say oh Chase got in this many fights or Chase hurt this person it's always a story of me getting in a fight or being violent or on a football field going crazy you know that was kind of the image I had but no matter what they say like I I do not like hurting people at all.

28:13 SPEAKER_02: And the only times I ever physically hurt people were when they picked on somebody or like Tristan Summers took a knee one football game and got railed right when he took his knee I went and beat the crap out that kid because he hurt him and he was vulnerable.

28:28 SPEAKER_02: So anytime somebody's vulnerable or something I always stand up for him that's the times I would always get in fights and whatnot and just standing up to the bully.

28:36 SPEAKER_02: So when I seen that I was causing this guy fear you know making him vulnerable something in me dude just did not looking back it was God he was telling me hey check yourself like what are you doing?

28:49 SPEAKER_02: And I and uh I seen the fear on his face dude and I felt so bad for him that I made him that scared that I told him to I said look at me in my eyes and I moved my face mask down.

29:00 SPEAKER_02: I said look at my face you know because now you can see you can trust me like look at my face I'm not here I'm not like every other criminal who's gonna hide their face and stuff take your crap and beat you up no I'm not I'm here to help my friend look at me like it's okay I'm not gonna hurt you and I kept saying that to him and then at that point I think he kind of realized that I wasn't gonna hurt him you know and something in me also told me walk out right now because it just like what was I doing Chase you know I kind of snapped back into it like what am I doing?

29:33 SPEAKER_02: No friend of mine is gonna say hey go do this and this or I'm gonna kill myself yeah that is not a friend.

29:40 SPEAKER_02: Nobody is going to put that pressure on you.

29:42 SPEAKER_02: I'm not gonna look at you and say Jonah dang it dude I'm real down about I'm not gonna make rent this month I need a thousand dollars or I'm gonna kill myself that's not a friend dude Bob against yeah no that ain't love go do this for me no so I walked out of there and I'm glad I did because if I would have taken a pack of gum I would not be sitting at this table right now.

30:01 SPEAKER_02: If I'd have taken one dollar I'd not be sitting at this table right now and I walk out and I go home and I'm starting to realize like what he had just kind of not he didn't make me do it.

30:13 SPEAKER_02: I did it I take responsibility but he put me in that position to be even that be a thought you know everything he kind of just put on me telling me he was going to do what he was going to do to himself I got pissed and I kicked him out the house said he got to go.

30:28 SPEAKER_02: And so he leaves he drives he takes his keys and he drives and he comes back 30 minutes later Chase where are my keys where are my keys I'm like what do you mean where are your keys?

30:38 SPEAKER_02: You just drove away and uh he goes he's and I'm getting mad because I'm like realizing he's something's off like he don't need his keys he just drove away he actually got dropped off by some random people and I take him on the porch dude and I'm I'm pissed and I throw him to the ground I'm all I'm about to start hitting him just because of how mad I am at him and then I was just it was a terrible night and right when I rear back I see 15 squad cars maybe not 15 but a lot coming down the road and I'm like oh crap you know so I go back inside I put my gun in the closet and I walk in Ali was uh I told her and Haven Fisher to go in Max's room you know and stay in there.

31:24 SPEAKER_02: No I don't she was the great above her yeah she was the great above us so they were together in a bed and I walked up to Allie and kissed her on the forehead and I walked out and I seen AR-15s and Glocks pointed at us and Max and Carter on the ground you know face down and the first thing I say was y'all don't have a warrant and I'm like okay alright nope there's a lot of guns pointing at me so I got down and got on my knees and and dude they put me in a cop car and of course it was about the gas station and I watched them drag Allie out and and question her and stuff and put her in a cop car.

31:59 SPEAKER_02: And like this is like my love, my life like everything I do is for her right and this is killing me eating me up.

32:06 SPEAKER_02: So I'm banging my head on the window and screaming to the point where I fucking I pass out sorry for cussing but I pass out and uh it was that was like rock bottom seeing her be drug into a cop car over something I'd done.

32:23 SPEAKER_02: So uh they booked me they put me in jail and stuff and they're reading me my charges and I got armed robbery possession of a firearm within commission of a felony um schedule one class substance because when they raided the house and stuff they found some old bag of mushrooms you know that I didn't even know were in there from one of the roommates or parties or whatever we had and they found that so they they charged me with uh schedule one class substance uh aggravated assault with a deadly weapon so all these felonies and I'm reading them and I I'm in there intake and I'm reading these charges and one of the guys in the cell blog was like whoa whoa whoa whoa what'd you get I'm like armed robbery and they you're screwed your whole life is over with armed robbery holds a mandatory minimum of 10 years which means you have got to serve 10 years no matter what yeah there's no getting out early then you're yeah no getting out early you're then you then whatever the judge wants to give you starts stacking upon that.

33:24 SPEAKER_02: Like you're doing 10 years in prison and my heart sank dude and now it's I'm three days in and I'm calling Allie to make sure she's okay and stuff and I have two dogs at this point rescued two pit bulls and uh she's screaming and crying at me on the phone and I'm like what's wrong and I guess one of my dogs they chewed up some of the drywall through their crates probably because they were missing me and you know they don't know what's going on and uh Max I think beat them and they were cowered in a corner and one of them ran away and he was like y'all gotta leave and stuff so Allie has like nowhere to go and her dogs are like it's just a terrible terrible feeling to have when the things you love are like just falling apart and being hurt and you're not there to protect them.

34:14 SPEAKER_02: Like dude tore me up like absolutely tore me up um so she ends up moving in with her grandparents okay and I spend a hundred and something days in jail I spend it in high high maximum because I'm with murderers and armed robbers and child molesters.

34:37 SPEAKER_02: I'm a seven I had a seven deadly charge.

34:41 SPEAKER_02: So I'm in there with the worst of the worst they either went to prison or they're coming from prison.

34:46 SPEAKER_02: They have a court date in Cherokee County so they came from prison they're to go to this court date and then they're gonna go right back to prison you know and it was bad dude I mean it was rough and you know it's just not something I ever thought I'd be in nobody thinks they'd be there you know and I didn't think I was gonna get bonded out I thought I was gonna do 10 years to the door I had nobody to get me a lawyer nobody to help me nobody to call no family like I had nobody to go to like all I ever wanted in my entire life was a role model a male role model that can lead me that can guide me that when I'm struggling with something I can say hey man I need help what do I do just a good person to follow you know and I never had that dude so I always made a lot of bad decisions and then I uh my lawyer calls me and I get bonded out by my grandpa that I has never been really close to and stuff it was my dad's dad and we had just started talking maybe a year prior to this so I was really surprised that he bonded me out and got me a lawyer and everything and he bonds me out and he he moves me and Allie and my two dogs into his house and he's like I'm like whoa you know this is my this is it my role model yeah you know he he's not judging me or yelling at me for what I done he's treating me with love and care and and he's helping me dude he's giving me money to go get clothes uh I can go get my job back again now and and I have a safe place to call home where I can live and actually get on my feet and not have to pay all these bills like and struggle and uh so we're living with him and about a month in two months in one day in the morning he goes you know Chase almost had to take me to the hospital last night and I was like why why are you saying that he's like I think I was having a heart attack and I was like Are you serious?

36:45 SPEAKER_02: You should uh come and got me you know we would take you there immediately and then he ends up going to the hospital the next day and he has four arteries that are 97% blocked so they got to do a quadruple heart surgery on him.

37:00 SPEAKER_02: Gosh and I'm freaking out dude because this is like all I got you know and I finally fell in love with a family member again like we're close and you know everybody that I love or get close to or they all end up leaving or dying or something bad happens and they get taken away from me like I have bad abandonment issues.

37:21 SPEAKER_02: And you know he ends up getting past his surgery doing good he did good in his surgery and everything and then he catches a septic infection in his blood and he dies and just like that I'm like all my hopes everything that I thought was going to be okay.

37:39 SPEAKER_02: I have an ankle monitor on I'm out of jail like uh he's telling me I can do this and this getting me a lawyer he's like you're gonna be all right you know that wasn't you you're not like you know which it wasn't me that night and and I was drunk and I was with the wrong person and I was trying to help him and all I needed was somebody dude to just be there for me and he died and when he died my family they wanted uh you know get their house back and fix it up and do whatever they did with it so they kicked us out or they offered us to stay and rent rent it for an extreme price that we couldn't afford so we're like whatever and they kicked us out dude and we have nowhere to go again and all on our own and my grandpa just died and I'm on bond and I'm for this these charges and I'm just broke and like freaking out and God moved and he got us a home we had we lived in downtown ball ground in a two bedroom house okay and I started to go to work in the gas industry and so now we're living there and this is when the drinking got heavy you know because I got all this weight like I'm I'm going to work every day and I'm getting close to people that are dying and then I'm going to work every day for this goal of hey I'm gonna build my life up make a family and this is the things I'm going but in the back of my head I'm like I'm doing all this for nothing because I'm gonna be going to prison.

39:06 SPEAKER_02: I'm on bar I'm waking up at 6 a.m and putting these boots on and going enslaving these 14 hour days back to back and struggling to pay all these bills for my house and my animals and to feed Ali and to put food on the table and do all like zero help dude zero help and I'm young and I'm working this full like hard hard and every day I lay down thinking I'm doing this for nothing because I'm gonna it's all gonna get ripped out from under me and I'm gonna go I'm gonna be in a war zone for 10 years.

39:39 SPEAKER_02: You know I'm gonna be fighting for my life and my real dad who I'm talking to at this point is in prison sending me pictures of him laying down at night with machetes next to him in case he has to wake up and go go at it like literal machetes.

39:53 SPEAKER_02: And that's like in my head I'm like that's where I'm going and that's gonna be my life and I don't know why I'm doing what I'm doing.

40:01 SPEAKER_02: It's it was just so hard to find any love or hope or peace.

40:04 SPEAKER_02: It was very dark time.

40:06 SPEAKER_02: I had to drink just to go to sleep and you know I lost my grandpa and that was like my hope and dude I was just lost and broken and trying to escape my pain and it was rough very rough and um so for two years I just continued you know to try and try and try and try and just don't let any of this break me I was like if there's hope there's hope.

40:34 SPEAKER_02: And we ended up moving out of there and living with a guy in Waleska one of my buddies and because it got too expensive there.

40:42 SPEAKER_02: And then that didn't work out he ended up you know he was going through a lot of stuff and he ended up making it an unsafe place for me and my so I we moved again.

40:50 SPEAKER_02: I had nowhere to go dude and there's a lot that I can't even get into there's just a lot that's happened and I want to get to Jesus so so we moved from there and then I I'm living in a 16 foot camper now okay and we are six months out from my February court date which I my lawyer that my grandpa got he was like hey I've seen that your grandpa died and all this stuff I'm gonna just help you you know so hey there's a little bit of God right there.

41:21 SPEAKER_02: Yeah my lawyer is just uh he's seen all of this he he was a lawyer for my dad he knows my family's no good he's seen me try to just do the right thing go wake up go to work and be a man be a provider and he's seen me try and he's like I'm just gonna help you out so he goes and he talks to them and he's like look the best I can do for you is a plea deal where you sign this piece of paper which saying hey I'm going to do five years in prison and 15 on paper and I'm like that's the best you can get five years in prison and I'm in my head I'm like well it's over you know Allie I'm not gonna make her wait five years uh she has nobody to take care of her now my dog's got nowhere to go now nobody take care of them and I I just I don't know what to do now.

42:10 SPEAKER_02: I done she followed me into this life and I I freaked it up and tried to help this friend and then you know she followed me there and my grandpa died and all these things and like she's just gonna be left with nobody and it's breaking me dude bad and um I remember just being rock bottom and I told y'all we were in the camper and I'm in this tiny camper with three dogs now big dogs and Allie and we rescued these dogs so they're like family to us you know we rescued them and tried to make their lives better and they're all we got and we're in this camper and I'm just like man I'm in a couple in a month or whatever I'm gonna have this court day and I'm gonna be gone.

42:56 SPEAKER_02: You know so I stopped working and I was like I'm just gonna spend this last time with Allie that I got to be with her and just not have to go and work and do all these things where for nothing like I'm gonna be going and fighting for my life here soon.

43:11 SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna hold you close and hold my dogs close for the time I got and um comes close to the court date and I'm telling people there's actually a character letter in here.

43:24 SPEAKER_02: The girl that is with my dad so my dad's in prison the girl that he's talking to met me out here while we were on bond while I was living in the camper and she has two kids and they fell in love with me.

43:40 SPEAKER_02: And like they're like a little brother and sister to me now.

43:42 SPEAKER_02: And my dad's not the best so I'm not real close with him but I try to be close to these kids and this is a character letter she wrote to the judge um for me.

43:55 SPEAKER_02: And so I had her and a few other people write this to the judge And it was court date time and I walk in there and I got, you know, all the OGs that there support me in my life.

44:08 SPEAKER_02: And we're sitting there and there's people that go and they talk to the stand for me.

44:13 SPEAKER_02: And I'm watching, but I'm watching them, the judge, she's sending everybody to prison for 25 years.

44:17 SPEAKER_02: 25 years, 25 years, life, life.

44:20 SPEAKER_02: And it's like, oh my gosh, dude.

44:22 SPEAKER_02: Some of them have the same charges as me.

44:24 SPEAKER_02: So I'm just sitting there like I'm screwed.

44:28 SPEAKER_02: But you know, in that camper, two months prior to this, I looked at Allie with this like empty feeling of being rocked bottom.

44:39 SPEAKER_02: I'm going to prison.

44:40 SPEAKER_02: I have nothing.

44:41 SPEAKER_02: And Allie, she has this Bible and she she reads it and she prays.

44:47 SPEAKER_02: And she has always kind of this little bit of peace with her, right?

44:51 SPEAKER_02: I'm like, what is that?

44:53 SPEAKER_02: You know?

44:53 SPEAKER_02: And one day I just got called to open her Bible up.

44:57 SPEAKER_02: And I'm reading it.

44:58 SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, Chase, drop all of your views towards Christianity.

45:04 SPEAKER_02: Drop the old stepdad and him abandoning you and leaving you.

45:09 SPEAKER_02: Drop all this anger you have and just open your heart up and read.

45:13 SPEAKER_02: And I had all these questions, all these questions about, hey, how is God God?

45:18 SPEAKER_02: How is Jesus God?

45:19 SPEAKER_02: How is He real?

45:20 SPEAKER_02: How is this this?

45:21 SPEAKER_02: And I start diving in and looking for them and I'm finding an answer to every single question I have.

45:28 SPEAKER_02: And eventually I'm like, man, there's no more questions to ask.

45:31 SPEAKER_02: Like Jesus is real.

45:33 SPEAKER_02: You know?

45:34 SPEAKER_02: And I asked him, I said, God, I said, I have nothing.

45:38 SPEAKER_02: Um about to lose everything I have that I love.

45:42 SPEAKER_02: I was like, I don't know what's gonna happen to me, but I know that I want you and I want your love and please to forgive me because I'm a terrible person.

45:52 SPEAKER_02: And you know, and I ever since then I started just chasing after Jesus.

45:58 SPEAKER_02: And I I kind of forgot about that part in the camper when I was going to the courtroom side, so I had to go back and let y'all know, like in the courtroom I had God.

46:08 SPEAKER_02: So two months before that, that's when I opened her Bible, and we're in there just low rock bottom.

46:13 SPEAKER_02: And I asked for ge Jesus to forgive me and to come into my heart, man, and um I drop all of my biased views and whatnot, and we go into that courtroom, and the people are there to support me and whatnot, and I got about a row or two of people, and I walk in there with a Bible in my hand, Allie's there, you know, that's all I want.

46:36 SPEAKER_02: I wanted to bring my Bible with me at the time because I had all my pictures of everybody in it and all my stuff I wrote since those uh last two months.

46:44 SPEAKER_02: I walk in there and uh my mom's in there with Tim.

46:49 SPEAKER_02: And they're wearing all black and they're sitting in the corner.

46:53 SPEAKER_02: Like just like a funeral, you know.

46:55 SPEAKER_02: They're not there to support me, they're there to like watch me.

47:00 SPEAKER_02: Watch you go away.

47:00 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.

47:01 SPEAKER_02: And uh then I have my grandma and then my friends and guys I work with and you know, and people I that really love me and support me.

47:11 SPEAKER_02: And uh I go up and my lawyer says, you know, to the judge that he's not gonna do any talking.

47:19 SPEAKER_02: He's like, Chase wants to talk to you.

47:21 SPEAKER_02: Cause I did.

47:22 SPEAKER_02: I I prayed before I went in there, I said, Jesus, take away all my anxiety and and and speak through me.

47:28 SPEAKER_02: Because, dude, I was shaking.

47:30 SPEAKER_02: I'm about to go into a war zone, I'm about to lose everything I love.

47:35 SPEAKER_02: The one woman that's been there for me, I'm about to lose her, she's about to be on her own, I'm about to lose my dogs, they're gonna be dead by the time I get out.

47:41 SPEAKER_02: All this hard work I've done the last two years on bond with this freaking ankle monitor that I paid$300 a month for, and and on the all these bills and the stress that I've gone through and the people that I've lost and all these things, I'm like, God, take it.

47:56 SPEAKER_02: Take it and speak through me.

47:58 SPEAKER_02: So I get up there and I start talking, and I'm not sitting there telling her how, hey, I did this because of this, or oh, listen, you know, I won't never do it again.

48:08 SPEAKER_02: No, I was real, and I told her, this is who I am, this is where I come from, this is why I've done what I did, this is how I felt when I done it, and this is what I've done since.

48:20 SPEAKER_02: And I felt terrible seeing the pain on his eyes.

48:23 SPEAKER_02: I wake up every day with that vent that vision.

48:26 SPEAKER_02: I get to live with that.

48:28 SPEAKER_02: Um, and ever since then, I've been doing this working, or I've been in my Bible, and I've been chasing God.

48:35 SPEAKER_02: I've been chasing this life that I I want.

48:37 SPEAKER_02: I don't want this pain that I'm living in.

48:40 SPEAKER_02: I don't want to wake up every day feeling like I don't want to live.

48:44 SPEAKER_02: I don't, you know, I don't want this, and I don't want this criminal life.

48:48 SPEAKER_02: So I don't want to wake up in prison and be forced to be a man that I cannot be.

48:53 SPEAKER_02: Like that I don't want to be.

48:54 SPEAKER_02: I can be him, but I don't want to be a person who has to worry about stabbing somebody or or fighting for their life or taking a life just to survive.

49:04 SPEAKER_02: I don't want to be that guy.

49:06 SPEAKER_02: I want to be somebody who is filled with love and who can go help others and who can proclaim the name of Jesus to people.

49:14 SPEAKER_02: Like I do not want this life.

49:17 SPEAKER_02: I want God.

49:18 SPEAKER_02: And I told her my testimony, I told her everything about me, bro, and I told her to please just read the letters that the people wrote about me because that's who chases.

49:29 SPEAKER_02: What they're saying, who I am, that's who I am.

49:32 SPEAKER_02: I'm not a criminal, I'm not a bad person.

49:34 SPEAKER_02: I said, This is who I am.

49:36 SPEAKER_02: And she took a recess, she said, okay, let me take a second.

49:39 SPEAKER_02: And like, remember, I already signed the plea deal.

49:42 SPEAKER_02: I was already going to prison.

49:43 SPEAKER_02: Like, this is already talked and agreed upon.

49:46 SPEAKER_02: That was the best deal I could get.

49:48 SPEAKER_02: And she goes, let me take a recess and read these letters and whatnot.

49:52 SPEAKER_02: So we take a 30-minute lunch and we come back in and she read the character letters and stuff, and y'all can read that one if you want.

49:59 SPEAKER_02: Um, and she reads the character letters and she comes back in and she calls the next case up.

50:05 SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on, you know?

50:08 SPEAKER_02: Yeah.

50:09 SPEAKER_02: I'm sitting here like ready to go at this point.

50:12 SPEAKER_02: Like, I need something to happen.

50:13 SPEAKER_02: I'm anxious as crap.

50:14 SPEAKER_02: And like, I just want to know what's happening with me.

50:18 SPEAKER_02: And she calls the next case up, and then the next case, and then everybody else that was in that courtroom, we sat there for another three hours, just sitting there, not knowing.

50:26 SPEAKER_02: My lawyer's like, I don't know.

50:27 SPEAKER_02: And until everybody else got caught up and went, they left and they called me up.

50:33 SPEAKER_02: And she gives me this 15-minute talk, dude.

50:36 SPEAKER_02: And the whole time I'm like, I'm going to prison.

50:39 SPEAKER_02: Oh, I might be okay.

50:40 SPEAKER_02: No, I'm going to prison.

50:42 SPEAKER_02: I might be okay.

50:43 SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, just juggling.

50:44 SPEAKER_02: I don't know what she's gonna say.

50:46 SPEAKER_02: And my tattoo artist actually recorded it for me.

50:49 SPEAKER_02: And so I'll have to send it to you, Jonah, and you'll be able to listen to it.

50:52 SPEAKER_02: Because please, please.

50:54 SPEAKER_02: It was like, it was uh legit.

50:56 SPEAKER_02: She was really getting in there, but she basically goes, Look, Chase, I used to be a juvenile judge, and she did.

51:04 SPEAKER_02: My actual judge that was supposed to be the judge for me retired, and this judge came and took her place.

51:09 SPEAKER_02: So there's another hand of God right there moving the pieces.

51:12 SPEAKER_02: Big time.

51:13 SPEAKER_02: And so this is a juvenile judge now that's in front of me.

51:16 SPEAKER_02: And she dealt with young kids that were grew up with nothing, that had trauma, that had these things, and they they, you know, got in trouble and had nobody to help them and stuff.

51:27 SPEAKER_02: So she's seen all this.

51:28 SPEAKER_02: So she's hearing my story and and relating it to that.

51:31 SPEAKER_02: And she goes, Chase, I tell my juvenile kids these things.

51:35 SPEAKER_02: It's to, you know, work, find a job, work hard, be in a some type of faith-based, you know, find your faith, find faith in something, find love in God, and to build a support group of people around you, and to continuously surround yourself with things that can better yourself and to not put you in that position that you're put in when you're a kid with nobody that gets in trouble and hangs around the wrong people.

52:03 SPEAKER_02: She goes, Chase, you've done all of that by yourself these last two years on bond.

52:09 SPEAKER_02: You have a good job.

52:11 SPEAKER_02: I was a uh I w operated an excavator and welded for gas pipe.

52:17 SPEAKER_02: Okay.

52:17 SPEAKER_02: I had the people that supported me in that courtroom that said what they done about me, and I had that Bible in my hand.

52:23 SPEAKER_02: And I done all of that, right?

52:25 SPEAKER_02: She was like, You done it all by yourself in two years, but it wasn't me.

52:30 SPEAKER_02: It was Jesus the whole time.

52:33 SPEAKER_02: It has nothing to do with chase.

52:36 SPEAKER_02: Nothing.

52:37 SPEAKER_02: I give no praise to me.

52:40 SPEAKER_02: It was God putting those little things that I kept trying to hint towards in my path that kind of made it all happen.

52:47 SPEAKER_02: And she says, I'm gonna give you a chance.

52:50 SPEAKER_02: And at that point, my grandma falls to the ground and everybody's like, you know, because we're all sitting there for that whole time, just what's gonna what is she gonna say?

53:00 SPEAKER_02: And she says she's gonna give me a chance, she's gonna give me 15 years on felony probation.

53:05 SPEAKER_02: If I do good in three, that all of it gets wiped clean.

53:10 SPEAKER_02: All of it.

53:11 SPEAKER_02: Felony's gone, everything's good, I don't gotta do nothing, and a six thousand dollar fine.

53:18 SPEAKER_02: So I'm sitting here today about a year and a little bit over a year after that, and I have two years left to do, and then all of this is gone because I ain't going back.

53:31 SPEAKER_02: And I I know who Jesus is now, and every day I wake up to try to follow him.

53:37 SPEAKER_02: I have my challenges, I've had challenges since, real big ones, and I can dive into that if you want, and I and that's tested me after my faith, you know, where Chase usually would go and grab a bottle or get on a bike or go do something to really feel alive again or whatever, like I was explaining to y'all, but he didn't.

53:56 SPEAKER_02: He he grabbed a Bible, or he he had faith in the Lord.

54:00 SPEAKER_02: You know, I've lost everything just since then and slept on a floor with nothing on my grandma's floor after my dad got out of prison and took everything.

54:12 SPEAKER_02: Everything I let him in, I got let him close.

54:14 SPEAKER_02: I was happy to have my dad, you know.

54:17 SPEAKER_02: I didn't go to jail, I didn't go to prison, he just got out.

54:20 SPEAKER_02: I got the Lord, he proclaims the Lord, he came in and let him get close, ruined everything, you know, assaulted me, all this stuff, and you know, we we talk now, but as a distance, like I'm not letting him close, bro.

54:35 SPEAKER_02: I'm not letting anybody like that close to me because it's it is the enemy, it's not him, yeah.

54:40 SPEAKER_02: It's the enemy that are trying trying me hard, you know, but it ain't gonna shake me because Jesus is the only one that saves you, and he saved me, man.

54:51 SPEAKER_02: And and I could die tomorrow happily, knowing where I'm going because I know the love of Jesus.

54:57 SPEAKER_02: And I slept on a floor with nothing, and but I I kept a smile on my face and I kept peace with me.

55:03 SPEAKER_02: And not too long after that, I now got a house in downtown Canton.

55:07 SPEAKER_02: Okay, got everything I could ask for.

55:09 SPEAKER_02: I got a great job.

55:11 SPEAKER_02: Um, I got my woman.

55:13 SPEAKER_02: I got another dog.

55:15 SPEAKER_02: I've got four now, okay.

55:17 SPEAKER_02: Three all four are rescues, three of them are bigger.

55:20 SPEAKER_02: I got one little puppy.

55:21 SPEAKER_02: I show y'all him one day, maybe bring him to Bible study, I don't know.

55:24 SPEAKER_02: But I got like I got all these things now that I get to wake up with and look at, and I'm like, hey, I don't have to look at it and be like, dang, I'm going to prison, I'm gonna lose all of y'all.

55:35 SPEAKER_02: You know, I lived this whole life of the last six years, dude, have been struggle.

55:41 SPEAKER_02: Not one chance to take a breath and just be a kid.

55:44 SPEAKER_02: Not one chance to just sit down and just you know, feel happy.

55:50 SPEAKER_02: Not one time, and he gave that to me, you know?

55:56 SPEAKER_02: And ever since I haven't lost it.

55:58 SPEAKER_02: And I won't lose it because when you feel him, when you see him, when you seek them, you don't forget it.

56:04 SPEAKER_02: You don't forget what he's done, you know.

56:07 SPEAKER_02: Whether it's something little or something big, a big testimony, a little testimony, a lot of time it don't matter, it's all the same.

56:13 SPEAKER_02: You know, my testimony is no greater than others.

56:16 SPEAKER_02: And and it's just so beautiful, bro, to really be a part of it.

56:21 SPEAKER_02: And I'm grateful.

56:23 SPEAKER_02: I'm grateful that he's done uh what he's done in my life to even put me here because what I thought I deserved, what I thought I had, was gonna be a a prison wall and you know violence and fighting and just a life that nobody wants to live, bro.

56:43 SPEAKER_02: I get my life, my dogs and my woman and everything is like all because of him.

56:50 SPEAKER_02: I get to keep the things I love and value, and I also get to dive into other people now.

56:55 SPEAKER_02: I get to help people that felt like chase, that felt lost, that felt like they that being close to death was the best way to feel, you know.

57:03 SPEAKER_02: That feel like nobody loves them or they don't guide anybody, or you know, if God was real, why is he doing this to me?

57:11 SPEAKER_02: And I get to tell him, look, dude, he's putting you through this to build you to be something you never thought you could be.

57:16 SPEAKER_02: He's putting you through this to make you a person that can go and save somebody else's life one day.

57:22 SPEAKER_02: He put me through everything I went through, and I am grateful that I have been through it.

57:26 SPEAKER_02: Because the man I am now is now a weapon.

57:29 SPEAKER_02: I can use it as a sword against the enemy to somebody else that's going through something.

57:33 SPEAKER_02: They're ready to die, they're ready to kill themselves, they're ready to go make a criminal, you know, mistake, and I can tell them no, you know, there's a better plan for you.

57:42 SPEAKER_02: There's Jesus now, you know, and that that is the gospel, and that is the good news, and I just want everybody to hear it at this point, bro.

1:01:36 SPEAKER_00: But that's you know, it's it's awesome that the Lord just puts us in positions like this, you know, to talk about those things, to to put that awareness out there, to, you know, say, hey, look, you know, I was here, but I am here in this place now because of Jesus, because of God.

1:02:44 SPEAKER_02: Like I I've so many times have went and done things the chase way, and maybe I've I've gotten a whole bunch of money the chase way, I've gotten a whole bunch of love or affection or a whole bunch of friendships, but they've all been gone.

1:03:02 SPEAKER_02: I've lost everybody I love multiple times.

1:03:05 SPEAKER_02: I've been at zero multiple times, and and that's your heart is deceitful.

1:03:13 SPEAKER_02: Jesus, though, when you do things through him, when you do things using his love and his mercy and his heart, and you remember everything he's done for you, you see that no longer are you losing things, you are now getting bricks to build and to keep building until you have this beautiful house and foundation that will never be ripped down.

1:04:17 SPEAKER_02: I do push-ups randomly in a grocery store because I might say that's like what I just said.

1:04:23 SPEAKER_02: I'll drop down and do push-ups, and everybody'd be looking at me like, What's this guy doing?

1:04:27 SPEAKER_02: Don't worry about it.

1:04:28 SPEAKER_02: I'm working my relationship with Jesus, you know?

1:04:30 SPEAKER_02: Yeah.

1:04:30 SPEAKER_02: Santification every single day.

1:04:33 SPEAKER_02: And that's what we gotta chase because not none of us are perfect.

1:04:36 SPEAKER_02: And I've lived a life so long of just a rough and rowdy and balls to the wall life that and Jesus is changing that constantly in me to where I am now nitpicking my heart that's been deceitful to me so long, and I am nitpicking, I'm going into the word using my sword, and I'm changing it every single day.

1:04:59 SPEAKER_02: And it's a beautiful thing to do because I I get excited, just excited all the time.

1:05:06 SPEAKER_01: I mean, we uh I mean I've definitely seen the fruit of repentance in your life, and it's just such a beautiful thing.

1:05:10 SPEAKER_01: And I had talked about in the previous episode when I was sharing my story.

1:05:15 SPEAKER_01: Like, hey, if if God would have revealed to me like the entirety of the wickedness within my heart right when I got saved, dude, I wouldn't be able to handle it.

1:05:24 SPEAKER_01: No, I would have dropped dead just to be able to do that.

1:05:25 SPEAKER_02: Thank God he does that too, dude.

1:06:11 SPEAKER_02: You got Jesus because that's what he's doing.

1:06:17 SPEAKER_02: Like here recently, I ain't gonna lie, I've been feeling a little bit of conviction of these guys.

1:06:21 SPEAKER_02: I drink, drink like three a day, dude.

1:06:23 SPEAKER_02: Like I work outside, I'm a blue-collar, and I'm I I go and I do stuff like this on the wheel.

1:06:29 SPEAKER_02: I'm always I'm running around, dude.

1:06:30 SPEAKER_02: I got no energy.

1:06:32 SPEAKER_02: And and I drink a lot of these.

1:06:35 SPEAKER_02: And these are bad for you.

1:06:36 SPEAKER_02: They're not good.

1:06:38 SPEAKER_02: So I've been feeling a little conviction for that, you know.

1:06:40 SPEAKER_02: Maybe start changing that.

1:06:41 SPEAKER_02: Because I that's the thing.

1:06:43 SPEAKER_02: Dude, seriously, I need to, I need to fast.

1:06:46 SPEAKER_02: I need to fast.

1:06:47 SPEAKER_02: It'd be really good for me because there's still a lot of things that I know I gotta work on, you know, mentally, physically, spiritually.

1:06:58 SPEAKER_02: And instead of looking at it in a fearful way now, like I might have used to, instead of looking at it in a way like, oh gosh, I don't know that kind of scared to dive into that part of myself, you know.

1:07:09 SPEAKER_02: I'm excited because I know he's building me into something amazing.

1:07:12 SPEAKER_02: I know he's building me into something not amazing for me, but amazing for the glory of his kingdom.

1:07:17 SPEAKER_02: He's building something that I can help shape his kingdom.

1:07:21 SPEAKER_02: I can go out there and help somebody out.

1:07:24 SPEAKER_02: Praise God.

1:07:25 SPEAKER_02: And and that's the whole goal.

1:07:27 SPEAKER_02: And it's to it's to crowd heaven, it's to to be a weapon of him, you know, to go out there and to save lives, man.

1:07:36 SPEAKER_02: I want to save one kid who's just lost, who has nobody.

1:07:41 SPEAKER_02: Because don't, don't, don't get it twisted.

1:09:31 SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think I was in the same place that um that so many people are currently in right now, and just it's that that that feeling of um of of of false gratification from from temporary pleasures of this world, just pursuing the things of this world, and this is just like a super spark notes little summary.

1:09:56 SPEAKER_01: But honestly, like man, man, my story, like I was just like lost, broken, dead in my sin, extremely depressed, anxious, and it was like the Holy Spirit just had a house warrant on my heart.

1:10:09 SPEAKER_01: And I know what those are like dude.

1:10:11 SPEAKER_01: It was one morning, or it was like two in the morning, he just like radically saved me in my bedroom.

1:10:17 SPEAKER_01: And that was when I started to kind of feel the same call that that you do now.

1:10:21 SPEAKER_01: Like you just want you want people to see that.

1:10:23 SPEAKER_01: Feel it.

1:10:24 SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's and I I I love to reference the the story, and we call them stories.

1:10:28 SPEAKER_01: They're not stories, it's something that really happens.

1:10:30 SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're this real history.

1:10:32 SPEAKER_01: It's a history book.

1:10:33 SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

1:10:33 SPEAKER_01: Um when when Jesus heals the blind man, when he spits in the mud and wipes over his eyes on his face.

1:10:39 SPEAKER_01: And then the Pharisees and the religious leaders consider clean.

1:10:44 SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, they consider that unclean.

1:10:46 SPEAKER_01: And on top of that, they like interrogated him after that and saying, like, hey, hey, what happened to you?

1:10:54 SPEAKER_02: Right.

1:10:54 SPEAKER_02: And he was like, don't get it twisted.

1:10:57 SPEAKER_02: They were intrigued.

1:10:58 SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.

1:10:59 SPEAKER_02: Yeah.

1:10:59 SPEAKER_01: And um surrendered.

1:11:02 SPEAKER_01: They couldn't get out of their own way.

1:11:03 SPEAKER_01: Surrender.

1:11:04 SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

1:11:04 SPEAKER_01: That's right, yeah.

1:11:05 SPEAKER_01: Gotta surrender.

1:11:06 SPEAKER_01: Um but he just responded.

1:11:08 SPEAKER_01: He's like, he's like, I don't know, man.

1:11:10 SPEAKER_01: All I know is I was blind, and now I see.

1:11:12 SPEAKER_01: Now I see.

1:11:13 SPEAKER_01: And the reason is because I met that man, Jesus, and he cleansed me and saved my life.

1:11:19 SPEAKER_01: Yes.

1:11:20 SPEAKER_01: And that's how I felt, and I'm sure you feel the same thing now.

1:11:23 SPEAKER_02: Every morning I feel that way.

1:11:25 SPEAKER_02: And there's times I get caught up, and almost old Chase comes out, and then I get to remember, hey, I'm doing this for a God that don't mess with the old ways no more.

1:11:34 SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?

1:11:35 SPEAKER_02: Like the old me is dead.

1:11:37 SPEAKER_02: Old me is dead and gone, you know.

1:11:40 SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't know.

1:11:42 SPEAKER_01: But dude, uh dude, dude, really a common thing I see now, like people just think that they're just undeserving of the grace of God, and like they're too far gone.

1:11:53 SPEAKER_01: And I've done I've done XYZ too much, can't make it.

1:11:57 SPEAKER_01: And bro, I think your story is just a beautiful testament of that.

1:12:01 SPEAKER_01: And even like to take take it a step further, yeah, like just a couple guys in the Bible, like we've got David in the Old Testament, who's broken all ten commandments, and he's known as a man after God's heart.

1:12:14 SPEAKER_01: And then we have Paul in the New Testament, who before he had an encounter with Jesus, was murdered, was out there murdering Christians brutally for their very profession of faith in Jesus.

1:12:26 SPEAKER_02: If you look at every single one of the disciples, none of them were deserving of God's love and grace.

1:12:35 SPEAKER_02: All of them were sinners.

1:12:37 SPEAKER_02: All of them were not good people.

1:12:41 SPEAKER_02: So when people say, Oh, I'm just not deserving of his love, or I've done too much, or I'm too far gone, no, you're not.

1:12:48 SPEAKER_02: No, you're not.

1:12:48 SPEAKER_02: You're exactly where you're supposed to be right now.

1:12:51 SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean you've got to turn and repent.

1:12:54 SPEAKER_00: Well, it's like even with Peter, you know, like he driven.

1:12:57 SPEAKER_02: I do, I resonate with that guy all.

1:13:03 SPEAKER_00: And then after the third time, he's like, Oh, I am such a piece of crap, so much so that he just goes miles and miles away, you know, and goes back to fishing, you know, and then Jesus resurrects and he finds Peter, goes to Peter and just hugs him and forgives him for essentially just turning his back on him, you know, after the the time that they had spent together, you know, him proving that he was Lord, that he was, you know, uh the the son of man, you know, he still turned and was still forgiven.

1:13:40 SPEAKER_00: He was still welcomed back into the family, was still taught, you know, um, so much so that he spent the rest of his life proclaiming it with that love, dude.

1:13:53 SPEAKER_02: He spent he spent so much time angry.

1:13:56 SPEAKER_02: Peter was a very angry individual, and all he wanted to do was love and help out his family, help out his people, provide, be a good fisherman, provide.

1:14:06 SPEAKER_02: I resonate a lot with Peter because all I wanted to do was give Allie and give my people like the best life I could handle because I grew up with a not good life, and I had all this anger in me, dude.

1:14:18 SPEAKER_02: All this anger and anger and anger.

1:14:20 SPEAKER_02: And when Peter felt the love of Jesus, when Peter turned his back, but yet was still forgiven, and he realized, like, oh my gosh, this this this like unconditional love that I'm getting.

1:14:34 SPEAKER_02: Like, I've got to also, you know, go out there and spend the rest of my life just sharing that.

1:14:39 SPEAKER_02: It's exactly how I feel.

1:14:41 SPEAKER_02: Exactly how I feel because I I mean, dude, I am so undeserving.

1:14:47 SPEAKER_02: Like I I've I've done it, dude.

1:14:49 SPEAKER_02: I've done the things that are bad.

1:14:51 SPEAKER_02: I've done unspeakable things.

1:14:53 SPEAKER_02: I've hurt people physically, I've hurt people mentally, I I I've turned my back on people.

1:14:59 SPEAKER_02: Like, and I am a guy who who holds, you know, being a man of your word up here, who holds dying for your brother up here, who holds like these standards of just being there for people, and I have messed that up so many times trying to do it Chase's way.

1:15:14 SPEAKER_02: God has showed me my way is nothing, his way is everything.

1:15:18 SPEAKER_02: And when you feel that, when you really come to terms with that and what it means to be a Christian, it's not a religion, okay?

1:15:25 SPEAKER_02: It's it's it's it's having a relationship with Jesus.

1:15:28 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what it means to do that, dude.

1:15:30 SPEAKER_02: It it you yeah, you want to share it with everybody.

1:15:32 SPEAKER_02: And and Peter, dude, was a great, great, great, great example of that.

1:15:38 SPEAKER_02: Because everybody who kind of like how you were saying earlier, how you were just so shocked to see, like I think you've seen my notes in the back of the Bible or whatever, and you were just like, Man, this is just awesome to see you from the chase I know to this.

1:15:53 SPEAKER_02: That's how it was for Peter.

1:15:55 SPEAKER_02: People knew Peter is an angry, angry guy who beats you up, you know, whatever.

1:16:01 SPEAKER_02: And now, like, whoa, hey, hold on.

1:16:03 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this guy, he was so powerful, he got crucified upside down.

1:16:07 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they were so mad at everything, the love he had, he wouldn't deny.

1:16:11 SPEAKER_02: He said, matter of fact, I'm not even deserving to be crucified like my Lord and the Father Jesus.

1:16:17 SPEAKER_02: I want to be crucified upside down.

1:16:19 SPEAKER_02: That's Peter for you.

1:16:20 SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and you can imagine, and you can imagine the pain he felt in that.

1:16:24 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, like you can't imagine it.

1:16:26 SPEAKER_02: I shoot, I've been through a lot of pain, you know, with this stuff.

1:16:30 SPEAKER_02: That's on another level, bro.

1:16:32 SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, like to love your God that much, to volunteer yourself for that, it just shows.

1:16:39 SPEAKER_02: There's there's just just I mean, it just shows the proof.

1:16:42 SPEAKER_02: 500 eyewitness testimonies, all this stuff, dude, it points to Jesus.

1:16:47 SPEAKER_02: All these questions I had when I was looking for them, I found the answers.

1:16:52 SPEAKER_02: And eventually, and I just challenge anybody who's watching, if you do not believe in Jesus, I challenge you to read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

1:17:00 SPEAKER_02: And when you're done, read it again and really start to understand the God that you follow, the Jesus that you want to get close to.

1:17:13 SPEAKER_02: Do your own research, do your own, do get your own knowledge and and tell me, come back and comment what you find.

1:17:23 SPEAKER_02: And you got to do it with an unbiased view.

1:17:25 SPEAKER_02: Trust me, I know I ripped up Bibles, I've thrown Bibles, I've I've I've thought every church was judgmental and that would look at me a certain way because I got tattoos and wouldn't let me in.

1:17:35 SPEAKER_02: You know, I've I've felt every way a Christian would feel that is like, uh, I don't know about that, you know.

1:17:42 SPEAKER_02: And I have dropped it and I have searched for the answer and I found Jesus through doing it.

1:17:48 SPEAKER_02: And I am very confident that everybody else will if they just open their heart.

1:17:53 SPEAKER_02: Because, you know, God's gonna show himself to you at least once in your life, and you better grab onto it and you better take it and run with it, because if you do not, the punishment isn't him punishing you, the punishment is not being with him.

1:18:05 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the punishment is not being with Jesus and you want to be with him.

1:18:10 SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's very important.

1:18:12 SPEAKER_00: Yeah, hell does not sound like a very pretty place.

1:18:14 SPEAKER_02: No, it doesn't, and you're not gonna be with our Lord, you know.

1:18:17 SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, hell is such a hell is such a tragedy because you don't have to go there.

1:18:22 SPEAKER_01: Right, like so many people are just they're hung up and just oh well Christianity sounds cool, but just this the this one part.

1:18:31 SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't understand it.

1:18:33 SPEAKER_01: It's like it's like bro, hold on, that's the thing.

1:18:36 SPEAKER_01: You you're not supposed to understand.

1:18:41 SPEAKER_02: Because look, we're not gonna be able to comprehend what he's trying to put on the table sometimes, you know.

1:20:03 SPEAKER_02: It's just such a sin-filled world that it just makes you when you know Jesus and you feel him, it just makes you want to be with him.

1:20:10 SPEAKER_02: Yeah, makes you just want to take a deep breath and just hang out with this cool guy, you know, named Jesus, and he just saves lives.

1:20:18 SPEAKER_02: And yeah, it's it's an it's a beautiful thing to see, dude.

1:20:21 SPEAKER_02: And a lot of people freak out when they hear me talk like that because they knew who I used to be, and it's like that's the beautiful part about it though.

1:21:36 SPEAKER_02: All these things, this world is manipulated to a point where you feel like you're about to break, you feel like everything you've done is for nothing, or you feel lost, or you're in addiction, whatever it might be.

1:21:53 SPEAKER_02: And I pray that one day you will feel what I'm talking about.

1:22:20 SPEAKER_02: And when you're in your rock bottom and you feel like you're not loved, you're wrong.

1:22:27 SPEAKER_02: That's what He wants you to feel that you're love.

1:23:20 SPEAKER_00: And I just can't even like begin to imagine what it's like to be in that position, um, to experience those things and to be like in front of a judge not knowing what your future is gonna hold and where you're gonna go and for how long, man.

1:23:36 SPEAKER_00: Like, man, like I I just my brain can't even begin to start, you know, where that shouldn't be, man.

1:23:44 SPEAKER_00: It's like it shouldn't.

1:23:46 SPEAKER_00: But you know, we all have different paths.

1:23:49 SPEAKER_00: Um we all have different stories that are written for us, man.

1:23:52 SPEAKER_00: And and and it's like you said earlier, and I say it all the time as well, you know, no testimony is better or or worse than the other, you know.

1:24:05 SPEAKER_00: It's all a weapon against the enemy in its own way, shape, or form.

1:24:17 SPEAKER_00: We're all we all are put on this earth to to just spread this gospel, spread this word, spread the good news, man, and just uh love each other and um and not look at each other as the prior felon or the the prior womanizer or whatever, you know, like there's just there's there's more to life than that.

1:24:53 SPEAKER_00: You know, he wants us to bring that to him, he wants us to humbly come to him honestly, even though he knows all things and just put it in front of him and lay it at his feet and just let him rescue us.

1:25:13 SPEAKER_00: There's never a shortness of it, man.

1:27:06 SPEAKER_01: Uh Lord Jesus, we are just so humbled by your grace, and we're just so thankful of the redemptive power of your blood, and we're thankful for the story of Chase and how it just represents that that hey, it doesn't matter what you've done, doesn't matter what you said, doesn't matter what you look like, what your skin color is Lord, you're the you are the only thing that matters.

1:27:32 SPEAKER_01: And it does not matter what you've just how far gone you think you are, your sin is not greater than the cross.

1:27:40 SPEAKER_01: And we're just reminded of that in Chase's story, and we pray that you would just remind our audience of that and that you would just convict that that that just that that one person that we're praying for.
